Salam Shabab,
I have done my coop outside with a Japanese company called "JGC" in the philippines and Japan

the procedure as happened with me: In the semester before coop during early regestration for next semester I have registers the coop course and shortly (before or after that I don`t remember exactly) I recieved a message from STU TRAINING saying that there are some coop opprotunities outside and some documents were attached

In order to apply for that program you have to fill those documents and get your department`s chairman approval and signature
after that I took my documents to the students affair (they will tell you which office)and wait for their reply
In 1 or 2 weeks I recieved a message from STU TRAINING saying "you have been nominated to have coop with the Japanese company!!" I waited for some days and then recieved a call from JGC asking me to come for interview. they interviwed a number of students from KFUPM with different majors and then they chose among them.

after being chosen you will be asked to do many things by the company (medical check, passport,filling documents...etc

the company will provide you monthly allowance and accomodation (talking about JGC) and the university will provide you with the airplane tickets or cash money and you do the reservation (Max SAR5000)

و عن كيفية التدريب

 

يا شباب الله لا يهينكم اللي عنده معلومات لا يبخل بها علينا

 

JGC is an EPC contractor (Engineering -Procurement - Construction) which makes detailed engineering design for new plants or for upgrading existing plants. the training program will be divided to two phase the first in the philippines where you will be given courses whether man to man or common lectures about the tools you will be dealing with in you work (later in JGC Japan)after each course you will be given an assignment to to do in the office to practice what you learnt. the environment their is very friendly and the people are cooperative. you will be in the office daily from 8 to 5 and then you are free to do whatever and you will not be asked to do any work related activities in your room except for some presentations that you will be asked to give at the end of the period. after spending 12 weeks in JPhil (JGC Philippines) you will be leaving to JYOC (JGC Yokohama) where you will be doing your OJT (On Job Training)
there you a mentor will be assigned to you in your department who is going to give you real work tasks to do and will check after you before handing it to his superior. the difference between Jphil and Jyoc you will find in the very serious work-oriented people who will be always focusing on work and not wasting time !
forgot to mention that you will be firstlly sent to JYOC for orientation week then will be taken to JPhil
then back to JYOC for 15 weeks

Finally I can say that you will get so much benefits from JGC and you will enjoy your time to the maximum if you are going with a great group of student as happened with me

for the accomodation it will be given free to you with the transportation (each student in one room) and will be given about SAR4500 monthly as meal allowance in both countries so you will have to save in philippines so you will not be broke in Japan which is 6 times more expensive than philippines

يا شباب انا بحثت عن كم شركة في الخارج..
المشكلة المشتركة اللي واجهتني في اغلب الشركات مدة التطبيق تكون اقل من 7 شهور..!
والجامعة متشددة في مسألة فترة التدريب, فهل فيه احد عنده حل او اقتراح لهذي السالفة ؟؟​
